Dec. 3, 2008 — Faith Hill will be on hand Wednesday with Rascal Flatts for the 11th annual NBC special "Christmas In Rockefeller Center," which has previously featured such country stars as Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride.

Faith’s been looking forward to doing it for years, but put off the idea until she had her album Joy To The World in release.

"I'm very excited about that," she told Dial-Global. "We watch that show. We've watched it every year. I've wanted to do that show, but I knew that I was going to have a Christmas album, and I just wanted to wait until then to do it. It just felt like the right time. To be able to go on and sing one of my songs on the show, one of my Christmas songs, it's one of those things I'm looking forward to being part of."

"Christmas In Rockefeller Center" is just one of numerous holiday events that will include participation from country stars. Phil Vassar and Rissi Palmer will join in a ceremony near the White House for the lighting of the national Christmas tree on Thursday. Phil Stacey is the grand marshal of the Nashville Christmas Parade on Friday. Darius Rucker and Julianne Hough are slated for the TNT special "Christmas In Washington" on Dec. 17. And Faith will be back on the tube this weekend on GAC with Faith Hill, Joy To The World (originally taped for PBS Soundstage), airing Saturday, December 6 at 10 p.m. ET. She'll also join husband Tim McGraw for the CBS special "A Home For The Holidays" on Dec. 23.
