Dec. 4, 2008 — Based in Lexington, Ky., Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery grew up a fan of the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals, making 2008 a tough year. The team has won just one time in its first 12 games.
But with musical partner Troy Gentry living in Nashville, Eddie’s also a fan of the Tennessee Titans, who’ve won 11 of their first 12, tying them with the New York Giants for the best record in the NFL. Eddie predicts Tennessee and quarterback Kerry Collins will go the distance.
"I think the Titans are gonna win the Super Bowl," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "I really do. I think they’re gonna go all the way and win the Super Bowl. The defense is unbelievable. [Plus] you just love to see that guy that’s worked his butt off all his whole life, and Kerry Collins has been everywhere, and I think this is Kerry’s year, man. He’s got the team around him to really do it."
The Super Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 1 in Tampa.
