Dec. 4, 2008 Miranda Lambert hasnt yet picked up any frankincense or myrrh, but shes got plenty of gold this Christmas season.
"Gunpowder & Lead" has been certified by the Recording Industry Association of America as a digital gold single as well as a ringtone. While its good news, it might not mean that much to Miranda; boyfriend Blake Shelton says shes not that bothered about sales achievements.
"She could care less about how many records she's sold this week or how her song is doing on the radio," he told AOLs The Boot. "All that matters to her are her shows and writing songs. If she goes a month without writing a song, you can't be around her. It puts her in a bad mood. That's why we brought two buses out on the road, so she can have time during the day to get that creative stuff out of her system."
Nevertheless, "Gunpowder & Lead" is building Mirandas gold history. The album the song came from, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, became her second gold album. "Gunpowder" is actually her second gold single. She also reached that plateau with "Kerosene."
