Feb. 13, 2009 — In a quirky twist of fate, three of the four artists who appeared on last summer’s Paisley Party Tour — Jewel, Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough — are all taking part in the upcoming season of ABC’s "Dancing With The Stars." In fact, the only artist from the tour not on "DWTS" is headliner Brad Paisley.

The three who have joined "Dancing" are all part of celebrity couples. Chuck and Julianne, of course, started a romance during the Paisley Party Tour, while Jewel will be competing against her husband, rodeo pro Ty Murray.

"As newlyweds, Ty and I thought this would be a fun adventure, something to do together before we try and start a family," Jewel says. "I love trying new things, and I find it just remarkable that a girl like me can go from being homeless to having such an amazing life, full of such unique opportunities."

Julianne, who came into the public spotlight through her participation as a professional dancer on "DWTS," had announced that she was skipping this season on the show to concentrate on her music. Even after Chuck consented to take part in "Dancing," she originally intended to pass on the spring season.

"Then I thought about it and I can still write, I can still tour, I can still work on my next record if I dance with him," she says. "In the past, I haven’t been able to do that with my other partners, and I thought, ‘Why don’t I do that, and that way I can take the fall off when the album comes out, and the single, and that way I can really promote it’ — which I did not get a chance to do on my last record. We all decided that it was probably better to do this season, whether I get to dance with Chuck or not, and it just so happens that it’s gonna be fun and crazy and interesting."

And, for Chuck, painful.

"I've had one practice already, and today underneath my arms are so sore," he told The Tennessean. "I've never taken a dance lesson in my life. This will be the first time officially. You would think, being with Julianne, I would have asked her at some point in time, but I missed that call and now I'm paying for it. I've got to start from scratch."

Brad Paisley is still sitting it out — and probably laughing about Chuck’s misery.
