March 5, 2009 — With her Fearless album in its 11th week at the top of the all-genre Billboard 200 album chart, Taylor Swift has pretty much conquered America.

Many country artists might be willing to stop at that. But Taylor is already thinking bigger. One of the biggest things on her future agenda is a world tour.

"I would love to have a sold-out tour in London and Scotland and Germany and Australia and Canada," she told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "The Canada shows are selling out really fast, too, which is good. And I’m really excited about that. But I would love to have a world tour and just really take my music everywhere and bring country music to places where it hasn’t been lately."

Taylor, who makes her TV acting debut Thursday on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," is already reaching out across the globe. She’s performed in the U.K. and is currently on tour in Australia, where she’s consented to take part in Sound Relief, a benefit concert for people devasted by recent bushfires Down Under. Taylor will perform along with Coldplay in Sydney, according to The Victoria Herald Sun. The event will also feature a concert in Melbourne with Kings Of Leon, Jet, Jack Johnson and Midnight Oil, among others.

Back in the states, Taylor’s a finalist for the Academy of Country Music’s Album of the Year honor, according to the Associated Press. She’s up against George Strait’s Troubadour, Jamey Johnson’s That Lonesome Song, Montgomery Gentry’s Back When I Knew It All and Carrie Underwood’s Carnival Ride. The ACMs will be handed out in Las Vegas April 5.

Taylor’s feat on the Billboard chart meanwhile is hugely impressive. She was able to stay at No. 1 even when the Jonas Brothers released the 3D Concert Experience soundtrack. It debuts at No. 3, which is just fine for Taylor: She’s featured on the album with a live version of "Should’ve Said No."
