March 9, 2009 — When Brad Paisley released his Play album in November, it put him together on tracks with such fellow musicians as Vince Gill, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner, B.B. King and the late Buck Owens.

So are there other musicians Brad wants to play with? Of course, and one of them got crossed off the list Thursday when Sony BMG brought Country Radio Seminar visitors on its annual boat ride down the Cumberland River. Brad traded guitar licks with Peter Frampton on the classic-rock staple "Do You Feel Like We Do," according to Country Aircheck. The 650 people on the boat were overwhelmed by the performance, but they were apparently knocked out as well when Brad introduced a new single.

He sang "Then," which will be released to radio Monday, and got rave reviews, with a couple of broadcasters claiming it’s the best song Brad’s ever recorded.

"My wife is pregnant and due in four weeks," Brad told the radio folks. "You guys are the obstetricians of country music."

Look for his next album, American Saturday Night, to be delivered June 30.

In the meantime, Brad had to share the stage with some other heavy hitters. Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson, Craig Morgan and Jason Michael Carroll all played new songs. Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride joined Frampton on "Baby, I Love Your Way." And Montgomery Gentry toted out their own classic-rocker as Steppenwolf singer John Kay joined them in "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Born To Be Wild."

Brad closes out his current tour on Saturday in Nashville with Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker.
