May 5, 2009 — Jewel began her career as a pop singer-songwriter, but she’s demonstrated a lot of flexibility as a personality, releasing a country album last year and attempting to compete on the reality series "Dancing With The Stars."

Her latest twist comes with the release Tuesday of Lullaby, a children’s project that serves a duel purpose.

"This isn’t just a ‘kids’ album," she says. "It’s really a mood album, perfect to relax to at the end of a long day. It will soothe and lull children but was also written and sung for adults to enjoy and unwind with."

Jewel will certainly be attempting to get the word out about Lullaby. She’s booked to appear on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" May 8, "Live With Regis And Kelly" May 13, "The Today Show" May 14 and "The Bonnie Hunt Show" May 19.
