May 22, 2009 — Nearly nine years after the Eli Young Band played its first live show, the group’s dedication is paying off as its current single, "Always The Love Songs," eased into the No. 10 position on the USA Today Mediabase country chart.

It marks the first time the Texas-based foursome has reached the Top 10, and after making a huge impression in the South as a touring act, it represents a new level of acceptance with mainstream country radio, one of the most important outlets for the genre.

"The four of us are extremely excited to have a Top 10," lead singer Mike Eli says. "It feels like we've been embraced by the listeners who've responded to our sound and called into their local radio stations. This is a great first step to growing our fan base and building our career."

This weekend, EYB has a full slate with a Friday show in Chicago, a Saturday concert in Cincinnati and a Sunday commitment in Colorado Springs.
