In her latest single, "You Belong With Me," Taylor Swift sings "She wears short skirts/I wear t-shirts," but on the August cover of Glamour magazine, she's dubbed a "Bomb-Shell in Blue Jeans."
For the cover, Taylor sports jeans by DSquared2, which can retail for hundreds of dollars. However, it's nothing compared to the high price of fame and the heartache that could come with reading her own press a practice Taylor now avoids.
"Ive stopped reading the comments below news articles and on gossip blogs because those are the ones thatll ruin your day in a second," she tells Glamour. But I read my MySpace comments because theyre awesome. You just have to be careful and filter the information you give yourself. Do you want to open the slam book today? Nope."
On the subject of body insecurities, Taylor says, "I think the reason a lot of celebrities feel insecure and want to stop eating altogether is because they see so many pictures of themselves on a daily basis. Its unhealthy how many times you see your own imageits just constant. When you see something enough, youre going to tear it down to the point where some days you feel like youre not even pretty. I get insecure about my eyes because I once read a blog comment that said, "Her eyes are so small." I thought, Are my eyes small? Oh nothey are!"
