Aug. 7, 2009 "Freedoms just another word for nothin left to lose." So wrote Kris Kristoffeerson in the classic "Me And Bobby McGee," but freedom is also something worth fighting for to American soldiers. Billy Ray Cyrus and Charlie Daniels were among those who saluted them at Sean Hannitys Freedom Concert in Dallas last weekend, and they join Suzanne Alexander on this weeks edition of GACs Top 20 Country Countdown.
Billy Rays support for the troops inspired him to write "Some Gave All," and Charlies made several trips to perform for military servicemen and women in Iraq. Long-time fans of the CDB will also remember he authored "Still In Saigon" in reaction to Americas treatment of Vietnam War veterans. Also aboard for the Hannity concert: "God Bless The U.S.A." singer Lee Greenwood and Christian artist Michael W. Smith.
