Aug. 7, 2009 — "Freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to lose." So wrote Kris Kristoffeerson in the classic "Me And Bobby McGee," but freedom is also something worth fighting for to American soldiers. Billy Ray Cyrus and Charlie Daniels were among those who saluted them at Sean Hannity’s Freedom Concert in Dallas last weekend, and they join Suzanne Alexander on this week’s edition of GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.

Billy Ray’s support for the troops inspired him to write "Some Gave All," and Charlie’s made several trips to perform for military servicemen and women in Iraq. Long-time fans of the CDB will also remember he authored "Still In Saigon" in reaction to America’s treatment of Vietnam War veterans. Also aboard for the Hannity concert: "God Bless The U.S.A." singer Lee Greenwood and Christian artist Michael W. Smith.
