Aug. 17, 2009 — This past weekend was a big one for Jack Ingram on television. He sang "Barefoot And Crazy" during his debut on "The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien" on Friday, and that same day, Jack also taped an episode of the Jeff Foxworthy-hosted gameshow "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?"

If that wasn’t enough, he had an acting gig, sort of. He played himself singing — once again — "Barefoot And Crazy" on the Lifetime Channel’s series "Army Wives." The weekly drama is the work of Mark Gordon Productions and Touchstone Television, collectively associated with such series as "CSI: Miami," "Lost" and "Grey’s Anatomy."

"It was really cool," Jack told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "They were nice people, the show is quality. It’s a lot like the hit shows on ABC, it’s just on Lifetime. It’s the same production company that does a lot of those shows that everybody loves, and [‘Army Wives’ is] as good as those, I think. The story lines hit home with what’s going on with the war and with the troops overseas, and we hopped up on stage, did our job, had a ball, people were nice to us, chicks were hot, then we came home, got back into real life."

Jack’s episode debuted Sunday night, but it airs again at 10 p.m. ET Monday.

Don't forget to mark your calendar for next Tuesday, August 25, 2009 when Jack's new album Big Dreams & High Hopes hits the shelves.
