August 25, 2009 — Calling all Jo Dee Messina fans: Jo Dee wants to invite you into her music room. Not exactly her home music room, but a stage modeled after it.
Jo Dee’s Music Room Series tour last spring was so successful that she’s continuing it in the fall. The tour kicks off Friday, October 23 and 23 in Ft. Pierce and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, respectively, for an initial run of 14 dates. Tickets for most all dates are on sale now, and more shows are expected to be added.
What can fans expect from this intimate, three-musician stage set? Jo Dee will be performing stripped-down versions of her No. 1s, favorite covers and songs she's written but not yet recorded. And, just as she did on her spring tour, she’s also letting the audience help determine each set list.
"Taking requests -- especially for new material -- and answering questions from the audience made it a blast, because literally every show was different," she says. "I never knew what people were going to say, but that's part of what made it so much fun."
In addition to the tour, Jo Dee is also offering a free six-month "Music Room Series" fan club membership to everyone purchasing a ticket for the tour. Membership offers exclusive access to concert recordings, photos, backstage videos and more.
