Sept. 10, 2009 From medical efforts to kids charities, country stars Tim McGraw, Charlie Daniels, Luke Bryan and John Rich are among the performers turning their music into fundraisers for important programs in the community.
Tim and Faith Hill are working on an event that should aid soldiers health, while Charlie has a Christmas concert on his schedule and Luke Bryan is planning a new farm outreach.
The events on the docket include:
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be joined by the Warren Brothers Nov. 7 for a performance during a two-day Country United Gala in Washington, D.C. Their appearances are part of a symposium on medical medicine, including presentations about advances in research and treatment for soldiers.
Charlie has enlisted Gretchen Wilson and Phil Vassar for his annual Christmas For Kids concert. Slated for Nov. 23 at Nashvilles Ryman Auditorium, the event aids children in Middle Tennessee during the holiday season.
Luke Bryan is performing Oct. 5 in Statesboro, Ga., as he initiates a Farm Tour, a series of individual shows he plans to do throughout his career that will benefit local charities in farming communities. GACs Top 20 Country Countdown will be on hand for the concert.
John Rich and Ashton Shepherd are doing a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Oct. 3 in Mobile, Ala.
