Sept. 29, 2008 — Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy, are soon to welcome their first baby into the family, and the whole process is creating a shift in Dierks’ reality. Not only is he looking at the increased responsibility of being a daddy, he’s also talking quite a bit with the people around him about topics he had never considered.
"I’ve had some weird conversations," he tells GAC Nights: Live From Nashville, "with some friends of mine that I used to talk about honkytonkin’ downtown – what’d you do last night? Now, I’m getting tips on things that I never thought I’d know about, as far as it comes to like birth and stuff and devices you need. It’s just really weird. But it’s great. It’s just a new experience and it’s just fun. I feel like I’ve been running in one gear pretty hard for a long time, and just looking forward to changes in life."
While Dierks is preparing for a new family member, he’s also got a new addition to his list of country singles. "Feel The Fire" debuted last week on the Country Aircheck chart.
