Sept. 29, 2008 — It’s been 17 months since Martina McBride released her last studio album, Waking Up Laughing, and she’s already well down the road toward completion on her next CD.

"I'm working with Dann Huff [as producer] for the first time, which I'm very excited about," she told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "We're nearing the finish line, actually. We should probably have a single out in October — end of October, first of November — and a new album out in the spring. And it's been fantastic. It's been such a new experience working with him. I think it brings a fresh perspective to the music and to what I do, and
the songs are killer. I'm excited."

While it’s the first time Martina’s employed Dann as a producer, he’s actually played guitar on the bulk of her hits in the past. Among the singles that have featured his playing are "A Broken Wing," "Blessed," "Wild Angels" and "Safe In The Arms Of Love." Meanwhile, Dann brings plenty of previous production history to the album. Among the hits he’s directed for other artists are Rascal Flatts’ "Every Day," Keith Urban’s "You Look Good In My Shirt," Chuck Wicks’ "Stealing Cinderella" and LeAnn Rimes’ "Nothin’ Better To Do."
