Each week country music expert Neil Haislop answers your questions!

Q: I heard Tim McGraw is coming to Indiana and I really want to go see him. What can I do to get backstage passes?
(Sarah, Pendleton, IN)

A: Sarah, the best way to get a chance at backstage passes is to become a member of any artist's fan club and see if that helps get you backstage for a meet and greet with the artist. Also, call your local country station (especially if they're a major promoter of the show) and find out what contests or promotions they have going that give listeners a chance to win tickets and backstage passes.

Q: After the movie "Broken Bridges" was released, it was said Lindsey Haun would be releasing a CD. When will that happen? I heard she has a new movie coming out.
(Sandy, New London, WI)

A: Sandy, although Lindsey Haun remains a page on Show Dog Records' website, she is no longer on the label. After touring with Toby last year, she was scheduled to go in the studio to complete an album, but that did not happen. The only comment from the Show Dog camp is she apparently wanted to pursue more movie roles.

Q: Why is the song "Shiftwork" credited to only Kenny Chesney on the charts, instead of Kenny Chesney with George Strait? Will George get credit if it reaches No. 1?
(Karen, Smyrna, TN)

A: Karen, "Shiftwork" is listed on Kenny Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates album as "duet with George Strait." So, technically it is. What has apparently happened is that either Kenny's or George's record company didn't want his name on the single release to radio, even though George is singing on the single. This occurs sometimes when a record company doesn't want a singer's duet with some other label's star to interfere with their performer's solo single release. So as it stands now, if it goes No. 1, only Kenny will get credit for another chart topper. Good new is, because it is credited as a duet on an album, the song will be in consideration for Vocal Event or Collaboration honors by the various award shows.

Q: It says in Hank Williams, Sr.'s biography that he died in the back seat of his Cadillac, but it doesn't say of what. Did he die of a heart attack or from drugs? I love Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., just curious.
(Linda, New London, IA)

A: Linda, Hank Williams, Sr. did die in the back seat of his Cadillac while being driven to a concert, New Year's day, 1953. He was just 29 years old and the cause of death was due to a combination of drugs and alcohol abuse.

Q: Is Nashville Star coming back for a sixth season? If so, when and what channel will it be on?
(Leslie, Collierville, TN)

A: Yes, Leslie, "Nashville Star," is casting contestants for its sixth season, and the show will air again on USA Network. You can check nashvillestar.com for all the details.

Q: When is Lady Antebellum going to release their CD?
(Alyssa, Lake Stevens, WA)

A: At this point, Alyssa, Lady Antebellum's debut album is still scheduled for an early Spring release, possibly April 1. Currently you can see the video for their first single, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," on GAC.

Q: My daughter, Heather, is planning to get married in about two or three years. She is the biggest Kellie Pickler fan. Can you give any suggestion as to how go about asking Kellie to come and perform, if even for a short while, at her wedding? I realize it will be expensive. Thank you for any advice of how I can get in touch with Kellie's management team.
(Shirley, Kinston, NC)

A: Shirley, it's sweet that you want Kellie Pickler to sing at the wedding. As you can imagine, nationally-known stars get hundreds, perhaps thousands, of requests just like this. And usually it's impossible for them to grant such requests. Also, two or three years from now Kellie is likely to be bigger and busier and receiving several thousand dollars per appearance. Even if she wanted to do something like this, there's no way she could schedule it that far in advance. Best bet, if you want Kellie Pickler at your wedding, begin collecting the Pickler songs you would've wanted her to sing on your wedding day. Then, hire a good local deejay who can play, or mix together your fantasy Kellie Pickler concert to be played on that special day. If you still want to try to contact her, check Kellie's website, kelliepickler.com, for contact information. Certainly contact and perhaps join her fan club, which could possibly help out in your quest to contact Kellie.
