Each week country music expert Neil Haislop answers your questions!

Q: When is the new Jimmy Wayne video for "I Will" coming out? I can't wait!
(Connie, Ridgewood, NJ)

A: Connie, keep checking win with GAC during the last two week of October. Jimmy Wayne’s record company tells me the video is now finished and will debut soon.

Q: Why don't we hear anything about Tammy Cochran? She is one of the best country artists I have ever heard. She has a beautiful and strong voice.
(Joan, Midlothian, VA)

A: Joan, Tammy Cochran is still an active recording and touring artist. Her latest album is Where I Am and she has an active website. Tammy is one of those talented singers that lost their record contract with a major label and has found a home with an independent label that believes in her. You can check up on all things Tammy Cochran at her site, tammycochranfans.com.

Q: Why are country music artists so passive when it comes to speaking out about their true convictions on where they stand politically? It is one thing to sing about America, liberty, patriotism, God, and country, but now it seems words and actions are contrary. When will they show their true colors?
(Janet, Willow Wood, OH)

A: Janet, what a public person’s political opinions are — and if they wish to talk about them — is entirely a personal choice. After all, if a public person talks about their personal politics, they risk alienating many of their fans who are in a different political party and might be rabid enough to hold that against them. Some actors and singers have publicly supported one national candidate or the other and have gotten plenty of support and negative feedback from their voting fans. Ultimately, though, what party a performer belongs to has nothing to do with their love of America, liberty, patriotism or God and country. Artists should sing about whatever they want to.

Q: I read on a website that Sugarland wants to make a live concert DVD. Do you know if they are planning on doing this sometime in the near future?
(Elizabeth, Richmond, VA)

A: Elizabeth, after the success of the live video of "Life In A Northern Town," Sugarland has decided they would like to do a live video someday. They have not announced all the plans for their first headlining tour coming up in 2009. It could be that they plan on doing that next year. I’d guess that they might wait until they’ve garnered enough fans and momentum to do that during a later big tour.

Q: A few years ago you did a special for Father's Day called "GAC Salutes Dad!" Craig Morgan hosted the show. My son, who was 4 at the time, was one of the people whose video request was picked. How could I get a copy of the show? My son's 7th birthday is the end of November and I thought a copy of the show would make his day!
(Lin, Greensboro, PA)

A: Lin, unfortunately broadcast programs like this are rarely made available for sale, for contractual and music rights reasons. So, it’s unlikely that you would be able to buy this one show. Unless it becomes a package of programs the network clears with the performers and music rights organizations for sale, you might be out of luck. Meanwhile, hopefully somebody in your circle of family or friends managed to Tivo or record that particular show.

Q: Can fans vote for the CMA Awards?
(Nicole, Chandler, AZ)

A: Nicole, to be able to vote for CMA Awards you have to be a paid member of the Country Music Association, as a professional person engaged in some industry that contributes to the making, promotion and distribution of country music. At this point, the CMA has not added a fan-voted element to their awards process. Last year the Academy of Country Music enabled fans to vote in the Entertainer of the Year category and it cause some controversy and protest, even from the winner, Kenny Chesney.
