Soundstage

Episode GCCON-106L

Travis Tritt & Nickel Creek

GAC is pleased to present the best of the legendary and prestigious PBS series, Soundstage. This week's episode features Travis Tritt and bluegrass/folk group Nickel Creek. Tritt blazes a high-energy trail through hits like “Put Some Drive In Your Country,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” “You Can’t Tell Me Nothin’,”It’s A Great Day To Be Alive,” “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” and turns in an emotional take on “Anymore.” The members of Nickel Creek, although young, have established themselves as truly unique talents. Mandolinist Chris Thile, siblings Sara Watkins on fiddle and Sean Watkins on guitar, demonstrate not only versatile musicianship, but also their knack for exceptionally smooth harmonies. They perform rousing versions of “In the House of Tom Bombadil,” “I Should’ve Known Better,” “This Side,” and “Smoothie Song.”
